CURRENT Lateral current on NE swell. Can push you quickly along the beach.
RIP NE groundswell can build a channel current along the point on bigger days — it eases once you're past the break, no need to fight it.
LOCALS Casual beginner-friendly vibe with several local schools operating — busy but relaxed, not a heavy localism spot.
SWIMMERS Town beach — share space with swimmers in summer. Use low season for surfing.
