Hazards

CURRENT Strong currents further out around the rocky outcrop — stay inside on big days.
RIP Current builds around the rocky outcrop on bigger NE days — stay on the sandy stretch and it stays manageable.
LOCALS Small, relaxed local crew — friendly beginner-intermediate vibe, not much localism pressure.
NO LIFEGUARD No lifeguards outside peak summer (Oct–Jun). Swim with a buddy.

Local knowledge

Best tide Mid to high rising · low tide exposes reef dangerously
Peak season Oct–Mar. Summer is mostly flat. Best swells: Nov–Feb NE storm events.
Swell key NE–E swell + W offshore wind = the combo. Onshore levante kills it quickly.
Level Beginner to intermediate. Sandy bottom, forgiving on smaller days. Gets punchy on bigger NE swells.
Dawn patrol Arrive before 09:00. W offshore is strongest in the morning before the Levante sea breeze fills in by midday.
