SHELTERED The Cannes bay is well protected by the Lérins Islands — genuine surf needs a rare, specific swell event.
PEBBLES Pebble beach in places, not sand — different footing and takeoff feel than the sandy spots further west.
BOAT TRAFFIC Heavy yacht and ferry traffic, especially around festival season — stay well clear of channels.
CROWDS One of the busiest and most exclusive beaches on the whole coast in season.
