SANDBAR Horseshoe bay sandy beach — the shape funnels and organizes the Meltemi wind-swell well.
RIP Meltemi swell builds a real rip in the bay on bigger days — respect it, this bay can genuinely deliver size.
LOCALS A known Cyclades surf destination — expect company on a good Meltemi day in summer.
STRONG WIND The Meltemi that makes the waves also makes strong onshore-adjacent gusts in the bay — manageable but often windy on the beach itself.
