Hazards

CROWDS Marseille's most popular beach — swimmers and paddleboarders share the water, especially in summer.
RIP Mistral swell can build a noticeable rip near the groynes — moderate but worth respecting on bigger days.
LOCALS Big city crowd, not a dedicated surf lineup — easygoing but crowded on weekends.
MISTRAL Needs a decent Mistral blow to produce anything rideable — check the forecast, often flat.
