Note Two adjacent beaches southeast of the city — Souani is the longer, wave-rich stretch near the Ghiss/Nekor river mouths; Sfiha is the calmer neighbour.

Hazards

SANDBAR Long fine-sand beach with good banks near the river mouths — one of the more consistent Al Hoceima-area breaks.
RIP River-mouth outflow adds to the rip on bigger N/NE swell — surf the banks either side of the mouths, not the channel.
LOCALS One of the more popular local surf beaches near Al Hoceima — friendly but has a regular crew.
ENE WIND Best with ENE wind blowing offshore — check this specifically as it differs from spots further west.
