Hazards

RIVER OUTFLOW Var river mouth can push debris and murky water after rain — check conditions before paddling out.
SANDBAR River-mouth sandbanks give this stretch more consistent shape than the Nice Promenade pebbles.
RIP River outflow adds current at the mouth — surf the banks either side, not the channel.
BOAT TRAFFIC Marina traffic nearby — stay clear of the channel markers.
