SHELTERED The Gulf of Saint-Tropez is very sheltered — genuine surf here is rare, needs a big Levant or Mistral event.
BOAT TRAFFIC Very busy marina and yacht traffic, especially in summer — stay well clear of the channels.
LOCALS More a SUP/paddleboard scene than surf — no real surf lineup to navigate.
CROWDS One of the busiest stretches of the Riviera in high season — off-season is far calmer.
