Hazards

REEF Sharp limestone reef at all tides. Booties strongly recommended. Wipeouts are costly.
RIP SW groundswell builds a powerful rip off the reef's edge on bigger days — experienced surfers use it to get back to the peak fast, but it's unforgiving if you're not ready for it.
LOCALS Sardinia's most respected reef crew — a small, skilled group who've surfed this break for decades; watch from the channel before paddling out for the first time.
SEA URCHINS Dense urchin population on entry rocks. Always wear booties when entering via rocks.

Best tide Mid to high rising · low tide exposes reef dangerously
Peak season Oct–Mar. Summer is mostly flat. Best swells: Nov–Feb Mistral events.
Swell key SW swell + N offshore wind = gold dust. Onshore W wind destroys it fast.
Level Advanced to expert only. Heavy, fast, unforgiving. Not a beginner break.
Dawn patrol Arrive before 07:30. N offshore is strongest in the morning before afternoon sea breeze.
