Hazards

SANDBAR River-mouth sandbanks shift after floods on the Orb — check the bar shape after heavy rain inland.
RIP River outflow can create a stronger-than-usual rip at the river mouth itself — surf either side, not in the channel.
LOCALS Family resort crowd, mostly beginners — relaxed lineup.
RIVER OUTFLOW After heavy rain the Orb river mouth pushes brown water and debris — avoid surfing right at the mouth then.
