Note One of the deepest natural bays in the Mediterranean — cruises anchor here. The bay is very sheltered; real surf requires unusual SE swell events.

Hazards

SHELTERED The bay rarely produces real surf. Check for SE swell events (Sirocco) — the only time waves arrive.
RIP Genuine rip currents are rare here since the bay itself is usually flat — when a Sirocco swell does arrive, treat any current with normal caution.
LOCALS Barely a surf scene at all — this is a SUP and paddleboard bay far more than a surf spot, so there's no real lineup to navigate.
BOATS Deep bay with cruise ships and yachts at anchor. Stay in the beach zone well clear of vessel traffic.
